President Donald Trump said Monday that anyone who reports voter fraud leading to an arrest and conviction will be paid $1 million, an announcement that NTD reported came days before the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
“Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, according to Just the News and NTD.

The president repeated the offer on camera later in the day. “I’m also going to be issuing a million dollar bonus or reward or whatever you want to call it for anybody that reports voter fraud, leading to the arrest and conviction of somebody,” Trump said in remarks posted on X by the White House’s Rapid Response 47 account.
The fine print: conviction first
As Trump described it, the money is tied to results, not to tips alone. According to his Truth Social post, the payout comes only “upon the arrest and conviction” of the person who committed the fraud, and it covers both past elections and the upcoming midterms.
The White House has not yet laid out how the program will work. NTD reported that the president did not provide more details with his announcement, and Just the News reported that it is unclear whether the $1 million rewards are part of the $25 million fraud whistleblower fund that Trump and Vice President JD Vance unveiled earlier this month or a separate initiative. Daily Beltway has not seen any official guidance on where tips should be sent or how the payments would be funded.
Same day as a federal voting-crimes sweep
The reward offer came hours after the Justice Department announced charges involving 48 noncitizens in Pennsylvania, California, Florida, New York and Nevada in connection with illegal voting, fraudulent voter registration and related election crimes, according to a Justice Department press release. The department said the cases include voting by noncitizens in federal elections and false claims of U.S. citizenship to register or to vote.
California accounted for 28 of the defendants, the largest share, according to the Washington Examiner. The Justice Department said most of those charged are lawful permanent residents, and it identified one Pennsylvania defendant as being in the country illegally. All of the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Why it matters
Election integrity has been a central theme for the administration heading into the final stretch of the midterms, which will decide control of Congress, NTD noted.
Supporters of the president see a cash incentive as a way to bring more cases to light, since voter fraud is often discovered only when someone with inside knowledge comes forward. The conviction requirement Trump described means any payout would depend on prosecutors bringing a case and a court finding someone guilty.
Key questions remain open, including which agency will take the tips, whether state-level convictions qualify, and whether the money comes from the existing whistleblower fund. Daily Beltway will update this story as the White House or the Justice Department releases details.
