Rep. Pramila Jayapal just admitted what every conservative suspected. Democrats will hijack the Constitution itself to remove President Trump from office.
The Washington state congresswoman openly declared her party must do “whatever we can to get him out” during a recent interview. Her unfiltered comments expose the left’s willingness to weaponize the 25th Amendment for purely partisan purposes.
Jayapal didn’t mince words when asked about invoking the 25th Amendment. “Oh, absolutely,” she responded immediately. “I said that a week ago that we should invoke the 25th Amendment.”
UNHINGED
Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal says Democrats will hijack the process to invoke the 25th amendment to no longer require the Vice President if they gain power.

But here’s where it gets truly disturbing. Jayapal acknowledged the current constitutional process requires the vice president and cabinet majority. Instead of accepting those safeguards, she revealed Democrats want to rewrite the rules entirely.
“There was actually a bill that was introduced… last session by Jamie Raskin to change that process. Should we ever get control of the house back?”
This refers to legislation that would bypass the vice president and cabinet completely. Under Raskin’s proposal, Congress could unilaterally declare the president unfit if Democrats regain House control.
The 25th Amendment exists for genuine presidential incapacity. Medical emergencies. Actual inability to perform duties. Not policy disagreements or election results Democrats don’t like.
Jayapal’s position is clear: “We need to do whatever we can to get him out in peace and invoke the 25th Amendment, push for him to resign, whatever it is.”
Notice the phrase “whatever we can.” No constitutional limits. No democratic norms. No respect for the will of American voters who elected Trump to a second term.
This isn’t Jayapal’s first rodeo with constitutional manipulation. Democrats pushed similar tactics during Trump’s first presidency when policy victories on immigration and the economy threatened their power.
The timing reveals everything. Trump’s second term agenda is delivering results on border security, energy independence, and economic growth. His approval ratings remain solid among the American people who matter most – voters in swing states who gave him this mandate.
Democrats can’t win on policy, so they’re plotting constitutional coups.
Jayapal frames this power grab as “moral position and moral conviction.” Translation: we lost the election, so we’ll change the rules to win anyway.
The Raskin bill she referenced would fundamentally alter constitutional checks and balances. The founders required vice presidential and cabinet involvement specifically to prevent partisan abuse. They understood ambitious politicians might weaponize presidential removal for political gain.
Democrats want to eliminate those safeguards entirely.
This episode proves what conservatives have warned about for years. The left doesn’t respect electoral outcomes when they lose. They don’t honor constitutional processes that constrain their power.
They’ll tear down institutions rather than accept defeat.
Republican-controlled Congress currently blocks these schemes. But Jayapal’s comments reveal the Democrat playbook for future House majorities. They’re not hiding their intentions anymore.
Midterm elections will determine whether Americans reward this constitutional contempt or reject it decisively. Voters who care about democratic norms and institutional stability should remember Jayapal’s words when they cast ballots.
The congresswoman’s unguarded moment exposes the depths of Democratic opposition to Trump’s presidency. More importantly, it reveals their willingness to destroy constitutional guardrails for short-term political advantage.
American voters deserve leaders who respect the Constitution even when it protects presidents they oppose. Jayapal just proved Democrats aren’t those leaders.
